Local Area
This is the heart of Scotland, a majestic landscape of hills and lochs, great forests and fertile lowlands, dotted with historic small towns and ancient villages - a glorious backdrop for a holiday in Perthshire and Kinross-shire. Amidst stunning scenery you can enjoy a fantastic range of activities from extreme sports to relaxing walks - the lovely woodland trails in Killiecrankie are a favourite with visitors taking holidays in Perthshire and Kinross-shire. Mighty rivers and lochs lend themselves to world-class fishing and water sports, and nature lovers and bird watchers should head to Loch Leven, also the setting for the island castle where Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned.

Resort is lovely, well laid out and very peaceful. The scenery is stunning. Staff are very pleasant and couldn't be more helpful. Leisure centre on site is small but never too busy and again staff are available if any help or advice required. The hotel has a very good restaurant for breakfast, dinner or room service. Villa's are very well laid out and housekeeping will come every day make beds, change towels etc if you want them. We had a very good welcome pack on arrival included milk, bread + eggs. Gleneagles is a couple miles away - well worth just going for a look. |

Have been staying at lodges for our holidays since our 4 1/2 year old son was born. This is the best one for value that we have stayed at so far. There were lots of little touches that meant a lot. It was ideal to be able to get good quality food from the restaurant on a take-away basis to dine in with our children. Highly recommended. |

We wanted a short break in Perthshire to play golf - this location was ideal - 2m from Gleneagles!!! Lots of local 9 hole courses for us to relax in more longer courses if we wanted them. We usually book hotels but this was a great way to relax - no dressing up and eat what and when we wanted. |

We stayed at the Orchils villas at Duchally for a Mon-Fri break and cannot fault the accommodation or facilities in any way. The villa was spacious, clean, well heated, and had every possible amenity within that we could have asked for. Having our two small children with us, the optional stairgate was great and the kitchen was equipped with everything, right down to a fridge stocked with milk, eggs, butter, and even a loaf of bread - well thought out accommodation indeed. Our kids loved feeding the ducks, playing in the swimming pool, and the little 'nature trail' in the grounds. We ate a breakfast and a dinner in the hotel, and the food/staff were perfect. Weather was 'Scottish' (ie rain), but we spent days at Stirling Castle (fab cafe), Blairdrummond Safari Park, and the spectacular Noahs softplay in Perth - a MUST if you have kids, the best softplay we've been to - great value, clean and a lovely cafe. Duchally was the perfect base, and unlike some holiday homes felt like a real comfortable home from home - highly recommended! |

Perfect location for a relaxing break, with Auchterarder and Crieff not far away for shops and restaurants. Lodges well designed for your comfort and finished to a high standard. Proved very suitable for our family weekend away with 6 adults and 2 young children. |

A lovely setting where relaxation is the main priority. The lodges are large and spacious and do not feel crowded even when staying with a large group. |
