Close to the A74 (M), one of the main routes from England to Scotland, the Bonnington Hotel is great for a stopover on the way north or south or for a longer stay. Close to Gretna, Moffat is lovely, charming little town. A great place for walking; it was the first town in Scotland to become a "Walkers are Welcome" town.
